The East Pershing Complex Roundup: Operational Details

Critical New Findings from the Database

Extended mortality window. The database reveals that horses from this roundup were still dying as recently as February 18, 2026 more than two years after the operation concluded. The total death toll of 185 represents a 6.88% mortality rate for the removed population, compared to the BLM's official reporting of only the 26 trap-site deaths (0.97%). The BLM's practice of reporting only trap-site deaths systematically obscures the true cost of each operation.
