America isn’t America Anymore
For wild horse sanctuaries and rewilding organizations, the Trump administration's grazing policies represent a coordinated effort to close the door on conservation-based land management. By redefining federal grazing rights to exclusively serve "production-oriented" commercial livestock, and by actively restocking allotments that conservation groups paid to retire, the administration is ensuring that federal rangelands remain dedicated to the beef industry. This severely limits the ability of sanctuaries to expand their life-saving operations and effectively outlaws the use of federal grazing leases for wild horse rewilding efforts.
