ITS NOT A BUDGET WORDING ISSUE

Clarifying the Wild Horse Protection Issue:

There’s been a lot of confusion circulating online about the safety of the 65,000 wild horses currently in holding. Many posts are mistakenly claiming that "protective wording was left out of the federal budget." In truth, this is not a budget issue.

✅ The fate of these horses is tied to the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies, which meets tomorrow.

❌ The protective language was never included in the budget itself, so it’s incorrect to say it was “left out.”
✅ Instead, it must be added by lawmakers and congress through the subcommittee process — and that happens during markups and discussions like the one scheduled tomorrow.

This language typically restricts the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) from using funds for activities like euthanasia or unrestricted sale that could lead to slaughter. Its inclusion is crucial to safeguarding the horses in federal holding facilities.
